CNS Media is a full-service marketing agency based in Chesterfield. Recently, CNS Media became the Best Media Buying Agency in the UK at the UK Agency Awards

Why we are here

We want to show off our amazing work within our Digital department. The brains behind our team work with a variety of clients whilst delivering results we simply can’t shut up about.

For these awards, in particular, our work with Grape Tree stood out. 

Our work has even been highly commended by the The Drum Awards 2023!

How it started

Our journey started with them in 2022 when we filmed and booked media for their first TV Advert with Dr Ranj, which was a finalist for the Best Use Of Content at the Northern Digital Awards in 2023. 

This partnership has seen Grape Tree’s online presence flourish and brand awareness bloom. 

This result encouraged us to expand our efforts into digital marketing, focusing on Google ads, Meta, YouTube, DOOH and Mail Metro. 

How it’s going

In our initial period comparison, we saw that revenue is up by 50.1%. This was because transactions were up +14%.

We also saw a 34% uplift in organic website traffic, a +32% uplift in Direct website traffic and a +100% in Paid Search traffic.

YoY, revenue is up by +23%, showing healthy online performance. YoY, we’ve also seen impressive uplifts from our core ‘awareness’ channels (Direct, Organic, PPC).

Overall web sessions are up +30% YoY, and new user traffic has increased +31%.

Between 2022 and 2023, all digital marketing activity when live consistently delivered these results, whereas off periods saw a significant decrease in traffic both in-store and online. 

This proved that our digital marketing strategy was a winner! 

In our second live period, we saw a steady, clear increase in brand traffic

A huge campaign win was increasing users’ landing directly on store locator pages.

YoY comparison saw this second burst increase revenue by 32% compared to the same period last year. Transactions increased by 32%.

Sessions from the 20th Feb-27th Apr 2023 compared to the previous year (2022) show that overall sessions are up +97%, with new users up by 105%. 

Since activity recommenced we have seen a +89% uplift in organic website traffic, a +35% uplift in Direct website traffic and a +134% in Paid Search traffic. 

In the third burst, searches for ‘grape tree’ were up 124%, searches for ‘grape tree shop’ were up 140%, and searches for ‘grape tree near me’ were up 514%.

Compared to their revenue from May – July 2022, there is at least a 188% YoY growth. 

Currently, we still employ this strategy with a focus on content creation to amplify their message and reach new customers. 

Why did it go so well?

The results achieved are a digital marketing wonder. 

Our strategy made customers loyal and new visitors into customers – which in turn achieved all the objectives set out. 

We had a deep understanding of the target audience, careful planning, and skilful execution which all together produced outstanding results. 

It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of the full digital team and media buyers who treat every client’s budget like it’s their own. 

We foster the belief that without great people, we can’t achieve greatness. 

This recognition is purely down to their creative and strategic approach to digital marketing that sets industry standards!
