Cantarus was absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted in the 2021 Northern Digital Awards, our second year in a row as finalists.
Back in 2020, we entered the mobile app we built for our clients, the College of Optometrists, and subsequently were shortlisted for the ‘Best App’ award. We were also shortlisted for the ‘Large Digital Agency’ award, which, as a wholly independent agency, we were immensely proud of.
Our team has grown rapidly over the past year, and we have sailed past the 50 employee mark, with teams spanning Technical Delivery, Design, Marketing, Infrastructure Services, Administration, and many more.
In 2021, we were again shortlisted for the ‘Best Large Digital Agency of the Year’, alongside many agencies with 4 or 5 times the number of staff that we do. We think it says a lot about our team that we can compete in this category year on year despite being the smallest agency nominated!
Our inclusive office culture is something we’re extremely proud of, as well as the best-in-class tech and digital offering we provide for our clients, so to have made the shortlist twice in a row was incredible – here’s hoping for a win in 2022!
The entry process itself was easy and intuitive; the platform was simple to use, and it didn’t take long to submit our entries.
In terms of impact on the business, it has been significant – of course, our entire team was delighted to be recognised, but being shortlisted has also been noticed by existing and prospective clients alike, who often comment to us on the many updates they read about on LinkedIn.
Despite the awards ceremony being a virtual experience, our team spirit was as high as ever, and nothing stopped us from celebrating on the day. We’re really looking forward to the 2022 ceremony (and hoping we once again make the shortlist!).
